Who are you when the work stops?
You built the business, the résumé and the reputation. Somewhere along the way, you lost track of the man underneath. The Sunday Note is one honest email a week, a three-minute read, to help you find him again. No hustle. No hype.
Free. One email every Sunday. Unsubscribe in one click.
01 / Is this you
You're good at your job.
Everyone knows it.
- Your calendar is full and your phone never stops.
- You can run a team, a P&L, a room. You can't remember the last time you did nothing and felt okay.
- You're home, but part of you is still at work.
- Your wife and kids get what's left of you.
- If the title disappeared tomorrow, you're not sure who'd be standing there.
If one of those landed, I'm writing to you.
02 / Why listen to me
I walked away from a $250K salary for one $25K client.
I'm Michael. I spent 12 years in advertising, then left to build something of my own.
I built a company and scaled it to $15M. It worked, by every outside measure. And I spent most of my life proving my worth through the work.
I'm still building multiple companies, but the itch to do more has intensified. But now I'm figuring out who I am without the title, in public, and inviting other men to do the same. I'm not a guru and I'm not selling a system. I'm a husband, a father and a rider, writing down what I find.
The Sunday Note is where it starts. Beyond the Title is becoming more than a newsletter: a home for self-built men who want a life as big as the business they built.
03 / The offer
The Sunday Note.
One honest email every Sunday, written by me and built for the quiet hour when the week catches up with you.
01 / Day one
The walk-away story
The full story of the $250K salary I walked away from, and what I got wrong in the years after.
02 / Every Sunday
The Sunday Note
One idea, one story, one question to carry into your week. A three-minute read.
03 / Anytime
A real reply
Hit reply. It comes to me, and I read every one. You're not writing to a list.
04 / Always
Straight talk
No hustle, no countdown timers, no pressure. When I have something worth offering, I'll say so plainly, and you can always ignore it.
Takes ten seconds. Leave anytime.
04 / The no-risk promise
Read three notes. Keep what's useful.
If the first three don't sound like a man who's been where you are, unsubscribe in one click. No guilt, no follow-up emails asking why.
And if a note misses, reply and tell me. I'd rather know. I read every email and take your words, and your time, seriously.
05 / Straight answers
Before you sign up.
Is it really free?
Yes. The Sunday Note is free, and you never need a card.
How long does each note take?
About three minutes. Read it with coffee, then get on with your Sunday.
Who is this for?
Self-built men: owners, operators, builders, executives. Men whose identity got tied to the work. Mostly married, mostly fathers, mostly tired. And all looking for more out of the life they've built.
Is this therapy or religion?
Neither. It's one man's lived experience. If you're in real pain, talk to a professional, and I'll say so when it matters.
Will you try to sell me something?
Eventually, yes. I'm building Beyond the Title into something bigger than a newsletter, and when I have something worth offering, I'll say so plainly. No tricks, no pressure, and you can always ignore it.
Can I leave?
Any time, in one click.
For self-built men
Be more than the work.
I read and answer every reply, and that only works while this stays small. Join now and you'll have the next note this Sunday.
